Holiday Skin Checklist

April 5, 2008 by sknutrition

If you’re planning a Summer holiday, or are one of the lucky people having a holiday in Spring, here are some tips for holiday preparation as well as my list of “Top Products to Take Away”.

Before You Go

If you are dreading the moment when you have to bare your body for the first time this year, there are a number of things you can do to improve the appearance of your skin before you go:

  • Drink plenty of water! You should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and if you don’t like the taste, you can always add Thermojetics Herbal Beverage (GREAT for your digestion and contains anti-oxidants) or Herbal Aloe Concentrate to add extra taste and soothing benefits to your digestion!
  • Eat a healthy balanced diet with plenty of fresh vegetables – if you find it difficult to prepare and eat a healthy balance of meals and fresh nutrient-rich foods, you may also want to supplement this with the Herbalife Basic Wellness products
  • Do some exercise! Aim for at least 30 minutes 3 to 5 days a week.
  • If you have cellulite, you should try Herbalife Body Buffing Scrub and Contouring Creme which are simple to use and will have you feeling bikini-ready in no time. You can see the results on one of our test subjects in these photos. After only 70 days of product testing, Sandra achieved a visible reduction in the dimpled texture of skin.

  • Using Herbal Complex Tablets in addition to the Body Buffing Scrub and Contouring Cream will also assist from the inside by helping to restore your body’s water balance and eliminate the water and toxins that can be stored in the ‘orange peel’ skin!
  • If you need to lose some extra kilos before you go, even if you go in a week or two, contact us for a personalised Weight Loss Programme to get you started.
  • Don’t smoke – or if you can’t stop immediately, then cut back as much as possible

Top Products to Take

  • I always pack a Radiant C Quencher Spray for use on the plane, and whenever I feel hot and dehydrated. A quick spritz to the face cools and refreshes and smells delicious! It also helps make-up stay looking fresh for longer!
  • Skin Activator Lip Refiner is a real favourite of mine – it contains SPF 15 and is perfectly formulated to protect and moisturise the delicate skin on your lips, so you can apply it all day – alone, under or over lipstick. Its subtle peppermint infusion leaves your lips feeling tingly and gorgeous, fuller and VERY smooth (ready to be kissed at any time!!)
  • Herbal Aloe Soothing products – available as a Spray, Gel & Lotion – are ALL excellent for applying to the skin immediately following sun exposure. Herbal Aloe Soothing Spray creates a fine mist of Aloe onto your skin is especially good for any harder-to-reach places. Perfect for taking to the beach for immediate sand-free application. Herbal Aloe Soothing Gel is always in our emergency kit – it has SO many uses – in our family it covers everything from sunburn to nappy rash! The Herbal Aloe Soothing Hand & Body Lotion is a great all round “after-sun” with a light fresh natural scent.
  • NouriFusion Multi-vitamin Moisturiser (for Normal to Dry or Normal to Oily skin) provides SPF 15 whilst moisturing your skin and providing Vitamins A, C & E. If you choose the Normal to Oily formulation, this will also help to control sebum production which can make your skin appear greasy.
  • Many women AND men find that their neck, chest and cleavage area can look crepey as they age and this tends to be exaggerated as a result of the dehyrating effects of the sun. Skin Activator Neck & Decolletage Cream is especially formulated for these areas, it is a revitalising cream which will help to minimise fine lines and wrinkles and leave your skin feeling soft and smooth! Perfect for applying in the evening when you are getting ready to go out.
  • Skin Activator Night Time Replenishing Cream – apply this before you go to sleep which is when your cell renewal is at its peak – this deliciously rich cream will replenish your skin while you sleep to support collagen production. Many people find this leaves their skin looking and feeling FANTASTIC!
  • Herbal Aloe Moisturising Shampoo and Moisturising Conditioner with whole leaf aloe are also perfect to replenish hair that’s been subjected to the harsh rays of the sun, and even more so, if it’s been coloured or processed before your holiday.
