It’s all about the SKIN!

Following on from my recent post of skin facts from the Herbalife’s Worldwide Outer Nutrition Trainer - Jacquie Carter, I’d like to share more information with you about the importance of looking after your skin, your body’s largest living organ.
All change …
Your skin will be subject to change throughout your life - as with your other major organs, there are a number of internal and external factors that will affect it’s health;
Internal factors include:
- diet (for healthy skin you should eat a healthy diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and drink at least 8 glasses of water per day!!)
- hormonal changes
- health problems
- medication
External factors include:
- your skin care routine
- sun exposure
- climate / weather
Some people rush to make massive changes to their skin when they realise this, and this may actually cause further trauma - just like the stories you hear of people in drug rehab, they get side-effects! The side effects of cleansing and properly nourishing the skin may be in the form of breakouts as your skin “detoxifies”. (I can testify to this!!) Even if you have previously used many products in an attempt to improve the appearance of your skin, they may have contained harsh chemicals which only cause further damage!
If you want to make a real difference to your skin’s health, you have to make positive changes but you are advised to start slowly.
A great way is to start with an appropriate vitamin-enriched cleanser then add another product in a few days and so on. This will give your skin a chance to get used to the nutrition and to gradually start to absorb it with the minimum of “side-effects”.
Herbalife’s NouriFusion range combines science and nature to provide MULTIVITAMIN SKIN CARE which has an SPF of 15 and is simple to use - it also feels and smells great. NouriFusion is based on three key vitamins:
Vitamin A - helps improve moisture content, promotes cell renewal and can help reverse signs of premature aging.
Vitamin C - a powerful antioxidant which is a key component in collagen production. It has been shown to regulate pigmentation and boost the skin’s immune system.
Vitamin E - Helps to protect the skin’s moisture barrier and smooth the skin.

This post was very informative! I believe this site is a good companion to the section about vitamin E. It’s a very great vitamin to make sure we’re receiving enough of daily
Thanks Linda - that’s a great resource!
