Rev Up your Metabolism and Keep Your Weight Down
April 21, 2008 by sknutrition

We eat food for fuel. When we burn it for energy to run our bodies, the process creates heat - a process called Thermogenesis. Our Thermojetics and nutritional products are specially formulated to assist the body’s engine in burning fuel efficiently, helping our metabolism stay revved and functioning well.
Put your metabolism to work for you - incorporate these metabolic-revving tips into your daily regimen and avoid gaining excess weight.
Tips to keep your metabolism revved up:
- Engage in 30 minutes of activity every day to help minimise weight gain and to raise your metabolic rate.
- Tone your muscles with weight resistance training three days a week - increased muscle mass will burn more calories… even when you are at rest!
- Start small… if you are not used to exercising, try walking with light weights.
- Do not eat fewer than 1,200 calories a day. Eating too little may slow your metabolism!!!!
- Always eat breakfast. Skipping this important meal may slow down your metabolism. If you don’t have time for a healthy balanced-nutrition breakfast, you may want to try a Herbalife Formula 1 Shake (available in various flavours) - the perfect way to start your day!!!
- Use Herbalife products every day including Thermojetics Herbal Concentrate.
- Have a supply of Herbalife healthy snack products on hand and reach for these when you fancy a quick boost - they are high in protein (but low in calories) to help you feel fuller for longer and are GREAT after exercise!!

Hi Sarah,
Excellent blog.
Most sites which promote a particular nutritional supplement usually do a poor job providing other health info.
Not yours.

Some new research is showing that including resistance training throughout the day has an even greater effect on metabolism.
Not to replace your 3 workouts a week, but include little mini sessions throughout the day. Ex. when you go to sit down or get up from a chair, throw in 5 extra chair squats. Wall push-ups, isometric bicep curls.
Little 20 second workout @ then back to the daily grind.
Looking forward to your blog
Great tip! Thanks for that (and for your comments).
